Tampa, FL -- A pair of 18-year-old teen girls are claiming
they were discriminated against because they are
pretty. |
| |
|
Sarah Williams and Nisreen Swedburg were traveling on a
Southwest Airlines flight from Tampa, Florida to Los Angeles,
California when they say the flight crew was rude to
them. |
| |
|
Swedburg says she asked for water upon boarding the plane and
says she was told she could wait until everyone else on the plane
was served. The she says when the flight attendants came around,
they skipped her and Williams. |
| |
|
Williams says that when she had to use the restroom, she had
to wait for the person who was inside. Williams says she knocked on
the door after 15 minutes and when the man came out, she says he
came over and yelled a profanity at her. Williams says she yelled
something back at her, but couldn't understand why the flight crew
only questioned her. |
| |
|
When the plane landed in Los Angeles, both Williams and
Swedburg were escorted off the plane by uniformed officers and
later questioned by the FBI. |
| |
|
Southwest Airlines defends the incident saying the girls
caused a disturbance on the plane. |
| |
|
Both girls were banned from any future Southwest Airlines
flights, including their return flights home to
Tampa. |
