Cut numerous 1" long
strips (1/4" wide). Glue two strips together making an X. Keep
gluing additional strips, filling in the empty spaces. Allow to
dry.
Make a tight scroll for the center of the flower. Glue in
place.
For a layered look, add longer strips, or, if the flower is very
full, clip some of the petals with scissors. |

Accordian Flower |

 |
| |
Materials:
- 2 strips of paper
8" long and 1/2" wide (can be different colors)
- 1 paper triangle
(see Figure 6)
- glue
Instructions:
Referring to Figure 6, glue the two strips together to form a right
angle. Take the bottom strip and fold it over the joint, then take
the other strip and fold it over the first one (over the joint).
Keep repeating the steps until the strips are all used up. Glue the
ends. |
| |
 |
| |
Now you should have
an accordian-like piece. Stretch it slightly and then turn it into
a tight circle, gluing the ends together. Hold it between your
fingers until the glue dries.
Starting at the wide end of the triangle, roll it tightly and then
glue the pointed tip. Slide this tight roll into the center of the
flower with about 2/3's of it protruding. Glue in
place. |
